House Hunting Checklist
For many of us purchasing a home is one of the most important investments we will make in our lifetime. Whether the property will be your next home or an investment such as an income property or Air B & B this opportunity can be exciting and yet all the decision-making can be somewhat stressful. Using the Home Buyer's Checklist below will help you determine your needs and wants in a home that you may live in and if you are looking at it as an investment this will help you consider a properties attributes that will help obtain a return on your investment from the income and possibly the future resale of the property.
First make a list of you’re the attributes you are looking for in a home to fit not only your daily needs and lifestyle. We refer to this as your “Wants & Needs”. When you are searching on line you will have the ability to save the homes you like and earmark them with a heart or a star as a favorite. Once you have completed setting up your home search portal you will be notified of changes in the listing such as price.
Deciding which homes to view may be simple or the list may be complicated and spread out between several communities. To help save time and narrow your "likes" list from the computer to the list of places to have your Realtor schedule for you to see, use the checklist to verify which properties check many of the boxes of “Wants & Needs”. This may also trigger questions for us to research for you prior to a showing. Take this checklist along when you go house hunting. Make note of the items that really like about the property and not the items that may need attention. This will help you put a home's characteristics into perspective and use practical ways to measure the houses you're touring. Keeping this list handy, you'll be able to judge the attributes of up to three homes per page.
Purchasing a home is an exciting time that we assist you with every step of the way as your real estate resource. Our objective is to help educate you on the process answer your questions and giving you the information you need to make an informed selection when making a purchase.
